Lij Imru Zelleke, retired Ambassador of Ethiopia, dedicates his life to the national cause and the well-being of his countrymen. Politician, diplomat, orator, negotiator, writer and above all, committed humanist and patriot, Imru Zelleke shares his experiences and activities on this website. Throughout his life, he has actively participated to key historical events, both at home and abroad, acquiring thus a keen insight into the political and social affairs of the world. Current activities


Ambassador Imru Zelleke is engaged in civil society in a number of associations that promote social and economic development in Ethiopia. 


He lectures on a regular basis in English and Amharic to various audiences on topics related to Ethiopian culture, history, politics and society. 


He is regularly interviewed on TV and radio shows and participates as panelist to round tables on Ethiopian affairs.
